Congresswoman Haley Stevens won one of the tightest races in 2018, successfully flipping Michigan’s 11th Congressional District from Red to Blue. Stevens is one of the youngest lawmakers on Capitol Hill today and her reelection is key to maintaining the Democratic House majority and defeating Trump in a state he needs to retake the Electoral College in 2020.
Born and raised in-district, Stevens has devoted her life to public service and ensuring the continued economic growth of Michigan. While serving under former President Obama as the as Chief of Staff of the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry, Stevens and her team were responsible for the financial stabilization of the auto industry, the lifeblood of the Michigan economy. In so doing, hundreds of thousands of Michiganders’ jobs were saved.
An ambitious and driven millennial woman, Stevens represents a new and exciting step into the future for the Democratic Party. Stevens was elected by her peers as co-president of her House Democratic freshman class along with Rep. Colin Allred. Stevens serves on the House Committees on Education and Labor, and on Science, Space, and Technology, wherein she leverages her technological expertise to shape national policy on development and innovation. It is crucial that Stevens remains an incumbent, and Bend the Arc Jewish Action PAC is firmly committed to supporting the Congresswoman’s reelection.
